The Freshers Pass gives you FREE entry to Student Union Evening Events throughout the week (there are some exceptions - see Important Stuff below). Not only that, we will guarantee you a ticket as long as you collect it from the Union Box Office before the event starts each evening. All our events sell out, so you can pick up your ticket each day from 10am to remove the worry of missing out!

How do I get one?

Take a look at the chart below showing what you get with each type of Freshers Pass. Then use the form to make your purchase. We use Ticket Tailor to handle our online sales, and take payment through PayPal so you can rest assured your details are safe. You don't need a PayPal account to make a purchase - just select to enter your card details / guest checkout.

Online sales end on Friday 1st September at 12:00 midday. There may be some passes available to purchase in-person from Saturday 2nd September, but these will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. If you aren't able to move into your Halls until Sunday 3rd September, we strongly recommend you buy online in advance so you don't miss out!

Then when you arrive on campus, simply pop down to The Union Box Office (with your e-Ticket as proof of purchase) and collect your Freshers Pass keytag (it's like a Tesco Clubcard, you can just slot it on to your keyring so you won't lose it!).

So what are you waiting for?

The Important Stuff...

We won't mail your Freshers Pass out to you. It will be available to collect from The Union Box Office from the start of Freshers Week (please bring your e-Ticket with you as it makes things a lot quicker!).

If you go for the Freshers Pass + NUS Extra card as well, we will arrange the printing of your NUS Extra card when you collect your Freshers Pass - you don't need to purchase it via the NUS Extra website.

We assume that you are over 18 years old. Under 18's can attend our events (but due to licensing laws cannot buy or consume alcohol - not that that's a problem) so can still purchase the Freshers Pass. However, please note events at external venues (such as "Welcome to the Jungle" at Attik) may not permit entry to under 18's.

 

* Ceilidh & Gin Garden events are not included in the Freshers Pass due to restricted capacity. Pub Quiz has limited capacity so entry is not guaranteed - tickets will be issued on first come, first served basis. Free entry only applies to evening events organised by the Student Union. Guaranteed entry only available if tickets are collected before the event starts each day. Events listed as Free entry to all, still require a free ticket to be collected.

** Freshers Pass Extra is an online only deal and is only available at initial purchase. You will not be able to upgrade to the Freshers Pass Extra deal once standard Freshers Pass has been purchased.
